July 2022 – Greensboro, NC – Bright Plastics Inc. of Greensboro, NC has been acquired by Impact Molding of Elkhart, IN. Impact Molding is a portfolio company of Thunderbird LLC of Oak Brook, IL.
Founded in 1987 by former Rubbermaid executive Steve Bright, Bright Plastics produces parts, assemblies, and components for a variety of customers and end-markets. The company employs 160 people and maintains 32 injection machines, 3 automated assembly lines, a tool room, and mold shop.
Bright Plastics offers an ISO Class 7 clean room—essential for manufacturing medical products such as IV connectors and surgical instruments. Bright is also home to a 67,000 square foot corporate manufacturing center and a 103,000 square foot manufacturing and logistics hub.
