February 2023 – Sterling Heights, MI – Delta Polymers and its compounding division – Amplas Compounding of Sterling Heights, MI have been acquired by the privately owned, Italian compounding company, Taro Plast S.p.A.

Delta Polymers and Amplas Compounding are a privately held, family-run compounder and distributor of quality thermoplastic resins. The company has been serving a diverse customer base by formulating, producing, and distributing quality prime, generic prime, wide-spec, and engineering grade and recycled resins to meet increasingly exacting requirements since 1978.

Taro Plast, based in Soragna, Parma (Italy), is a leading company for the production of plastic compounds, with a wide range of products from Engineering Plastics to Polypropylene Compounds and Thermoplastic Elastomers.

Andrea Squeri, Managing Director of Taro Plast Spa explained that “The acquisition is in line with our strategy of establishing a footprint in the US, to better serve our global customers locally. In addition, customers in the US are asking for our products, including the recently added TPC Pibiflex® and Riteflex® brands. We are happy to be able to benefit from the support of the Delta Polymer team to bring our competence and know-how into the North American market.”
