Mooresville, NC – August 2019 – Insulated packaging maker KODIAKOOLER has been acquired by Airlite Plastics of Omaha, NE.

Privately held and headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina, KODIAKOOLER is an insulated packaging company that has been serving and leading the temperature-sensitive shipping industry since 2005. The Company’s KODIAKOTTON brand of sustainable products are both recyclable and biodegradable. KODIAKOOLER will remain in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Airlite President and CEO, Brad Crosby, on the transaction: “This combination allows Airlite to expand its growth in temperature-sensitive products. Bob Menzel and his staff [at KODIAKOOLER] have created a world-class business, and together with Airlite, we can offer customers a variety of innovative and sustainable temperature-sensitive products.”

KODIAKOOLER founder Menzel said that his firm and Airlite “share a business culture and passion for developing quality temperature-sensitive products that are both functional and environmentally friendly.”
