FLORENCE, MASSACHUSETTS, March 18, 2019 — MBS Advisors completed its 100th successful M&A transaction in the plastics industry earlier this month. The firm represented Syracuse Plastics of North Carolina, Inc. (SPNC) in its March 1st sale to Plastic Components, Inc. of Germantown, Wisconsin (PCI).

MBS Chairman and Founder Terry Minnick reflected on the milestone: “When I first started MBS in the late 1990s, I knew it was possible to get where we are today but didn’t know how long it would take. I am extremely happy with the strides our firm has made the last 5-10 years. Our four Partners and the rest of the staff have a lot to be proud of. And the icing on the cake for me is that this transaction was probably more fun and more rewarding than the previous 99. Tom Falcone (former owner of SPNC) is one of my favorite clients of all time…one of the most interesting, knowledgeable, and authentic guys in the injection molding industry. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Tom and Lorrie on this transaction and I wish them both the best in the next chapter of their lives. I am also very happy that SPNC has found an absolute top-shelf partner in PCI.”

“Including SPNC, we have advised on three high profile plastics industry transactions so far in 2019 and have at least five more teed up to be completed in the 2nd quarter. We expect 2019 to be another record year for MBS,” said company President Jonathan Soucy. “Not only are we getting lots of deals done, but the average client and transaction size have both increased substantially over the last several years,” he added.

MBS Advisors provides investment banking, M&A advisory, recruiting, and specialty consulting services for injection molders, plastics processors, and other engineered component manufacturers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. It has completed more plastics processing M&A transactions than any other advisory group over the last 20 years.

The firm is located in the Florence section of Northampton, Massachusetts—a small town about two hours west of Boston. MBS Founder Terry Minnick is a former owner of The Pro Corporation (a.k.a. Pro Brush), which was at one time—in the early 1900s—the largest manufacturer of injection molded toothbrushes and combs in North America. MBS is now based less than a mile from the former headquarters of Pro Brush.
